Our Promise

That you are sitting here reading our profile, and many more like it, is a testament to how much you love your child, and it is humbling for us to consider this thought.  If you choose us to adopt your baby, our connection with you will be born out of this incredible gift to us and the amazing trust you have placed in us.

We promise that we will always love your child and do everything we can to make sure he or she is healthy and happy, and happy with themselves no matter who they are. We will be there for your child unconditionally, and promise always to encourage your child to follow their dreams and do their best…to be open, loving and fearless.

We promise to share our devotion, creative gifts, joy, wisdom, healthy habits, curiosity and spirituality. Most of our friends (cultured, vibrant, creative, kind people) have babies and young children so our new family member will have plenty of company.

Your baby will grow up enjoying a life of art, museums (there are many in our city), music (we gave one of our nephews a toy baby grand piano), and great books from Pat the Bunny and Dr. Seuss to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and A Tale of Two Cities. We are both successful, published writers and tell great bedtime stories! Your baby will see the world close-up with a microscope and see the rings of Saturn by telescope and learn from us, to see the beauty in diverse cultures and religions.

Our neighborhood church, Episcopal, is only three blocks away. We especially love going there on Christmas and Easter morning.

Your baby will grow up in a cultured city in an historical neighborhood filled with leafy parks and playgrounds and some of the best schools and preschools in the country and spend summers in a cottage by the sea. We’re blessed with little nephews on both coasts -- they are adorable -- and we long to hear the patter of little feet in our very own home! To make gingerbread houses, elf cakes, collages, sing songs, dance to old Victrola records, and talk about the ocean, honeybees and the moon.
